We've been working with North Spore's CVG Kit and Pioppino liquid culture to get us to a partially colonized bag of millet grain spawn. Now we're going to utilize a technique called "Break and Shake" to help speed up the process of colonization. It entails breaking apart the colonized mass of mycelium and redistributing it throughout the bag, mixing it with the uncolonized grain. By doing so, you're essentially creating hundreds of new inoculation points which in turn will speed up the rate of colonization. Although the Break and Shake method is not required, you'll typically want to do this when the bag is 20-40% colonized for best results.
